Within three hours after the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension released a missing endangered person alert for a Forest Lake teen, she announced on her Facebook page that she’s safe and has talked with her parents. According to Chisago County Sheriff’s office, 18-year-old Jade Alexandra Kelm was last seen early Sunday morning at Sunrise Estates Trailer Court in Stacy in the company of her boyfriend, 19-year-old Ryley Thomas Olson of North Branch. On Monday afternoon, Kelm announced “I’m fine and I contacted my parents.”
Four sisters are in trouble with the law after allegedly staging a dramatic kidnapping outside the Forest Lake Walmart. Authorities said the girls’ mother turned them into police.
A possible kidnapping caught on tape at a Wal-Mart Sunday was “nothing more than an attempt at a prank,” the Forest Lake Police Department confirmed Monday afternoon.
Authorities in the north Twin Cities metro are looking for a suspect after a man committed an armed robbery in Forest Lake Thursday morning. The incident happened at Dazy Maze, an incense store on the 700 block of Lake Street South in Forest Lake, at about 10:45 a.m.
A deck collapsed at a house on the 18000 block of Harrow Avenue North in Forest Lake on Saturday. Forest Lake Police say there were about 30 people on the deck to take a family photo around 7:30 p.m. when part of the deck separated from the house and gave way.
