St. Cloud police are investigating after a 72-year-old woman died early Saturday morning from multiple stab wounds. Authorities were called to the scene at 3:58 a.m. on Saturday at the 400 block of 33rd Avenue South. Lois Arlene Omeara was found dead, and Dean Allan Friese, 52, of St. Cloud, was arrested and booked at the Stearns County Jail on homicide charges.
Police are investigating after a man’s body was found slumped over outside a building in Shoreview, Minn. Authorities say the man was found on the 5700 block of Hamline Avenue North.
The Dakota County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered a body Friday afternoon from the Minnesota River underneath the Mendota Bridge. Authorities turned the body of a Caucasian male over to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office for identification.

A woman was found dead alongside the road in Otsego early Saturday morning, but authorities aren’t suspecting foul play. Wright County Deputies responded to a report of an unconscious woman on the shoulder of Parrish Ave NE at the intersection of 93rd Circle NE at 12:35 a.m. Saturday. A woman had fallen from a moving vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Millions of dollars’ worth of marijuana went up in smoke Wednesday after a big find in a Minnesota field. Sheriff’s deputies in Pine County loaded 5,500 plants into a dump truck and sent them to an incinerator.
A 2-year-old Wisconsin boy who was found dead in the trunk of a car had the key to the vehicle with him, the family’s pastor said Saturday. Isaiah Theis had that key and several others sets of keys with him when a deputy found his body Wednesday night, the Rev. Rick Van Gundy told The Associated Press.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says an autopsy to determine the cause of death for a 2-year-old boy found in a trunk has been completed. However, the results on Isaiah Theis were not immediately available.
Human remains have been found along the Eau Claire, Wis. river, according to authorities. Eau Claire deputies were notified that kayakers found a bone, which appeared to be a human bone, along the Eau Claire River, west of Big Falls around 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
The human remains found in Colorado are those of Leann Annie Meyer, the Minnesotan who had been missing since Feb. 7, 2013, authorities said. The Park County Sheriff’s Office discovered the remains around 7 p.m. next to a cabin and through forensic analysis of evidence, the body was identified as Meyer’s.

A man suspected of stealing almost $10,000 in teeth-whitening strips, weight-loss pills, condoms, Rogaine and other products from Walgreen stores in Colorado has been arrested in Idaho. Sheriff’s officials in Jefferson County, Colo., said Friday that 27-year-old Curtis M. Williams also is suspected in similar thefts in Utah, Minnesota, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska and Puerto Rico.
New Hope police are investigating after finding a dead body inside a car late Thursday night. According to the New Hope Police Department, the victim was discovered at 8:30 p.m. on the 7600 block of Bass Lake Road.
