Orphaned Siblings Join A New Big Family

Given an opportunity for adoption, a pair of brothers wanted their younger sibling to have a home first. Touched by their selflessness, a St. Paul family is now on a journey that will change those boys’ lives and their own.

Haiti Commemoration Poignant For Duluth Church

Churches, schools and city halls around Minnesota will join with many more nationwide in tolling their bells to commemorate the anniversary of Haiti’s devastating 2010 earthquake and the 300,000 people killed, but it will be particularly poignant for one Duluth church.


Christella Monteau, who lost her arm in the Haiti earthquake, received a high-tech prosthetic arm from Plymouth-based Otto Bock HealthCare.

January 12, 2010 is a day Christella Monteau will never forget. On her 18th birthday, a time that would normally have been filled with much celebration, the late afternoon turned tragic. Devastation brought on by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake had swallowed Port au Prince in panic, disbelief and death.
