Following a fatal crash Sunday morning in the northwest metro, a section of the eastbound lanes of Interstate 94 closed to traffic.
Northbound Interstate 35W has been closed after a semi-truck rolled onto its side Saturday morning. According to state patrol, the semi-truck rolled onto its side shortly after 9 a.m. on northbound I-35W near Portland Avenue.
Some major roads across the metro are experiencing closures and detours this weekend. Southbound Interstate 35W will be closed from Highway 280 in Roseville, Minnesota to 4th Street SE in Minneapolis.
You’ll want to avoid a stretch of Interstate 35W over the weekend. The northbound lanes are closing down at 11:45 p.m. Friday between 66th Street in Richfield and I-94 in Minneapolis.
One man was injured in a two-car crash near Rogers, Minn. Sunday afternoon. Forty-year-old Bryan McCarthy, of Waite Park, sustained non-life threatening injuries after his car skidded into another on Interstate 94.

For more than a year, Keith Barnes has undergone physical therapy to get back to what he loves to do — cut hair. Barnes stopped at an accident scene in December of 2011 to help a woman who was involved in a rollover accident. He was carrying the woman to safety when a drunk driver hit them.
