Minneapolis police say they have arrested a juvenile suspect in connection to the death of a child Wednesday night. On June 10 at 11:45 a.m., police responded to the report of a baby not breathing on the 3800 block of 30th Avenue South.
An Eagan, Minn. man was charged Tuesday after police say he rolled on top of his infant son while drunk, suffocating the boy, according to Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom. Nathan Scott Savage, 30, was charged with three counts of manslaughter in the second degree, all felonies, and neglect and endangerment of a child, both gross misdemeanors, according to the criminal complaint.
Police in Sauk Rapids said Wednesday they’re investigating the death of a 3-month old child over the weekend. Authorities responded to a medical situation at a residential health facility on the 1400 block of 10th Avenue NE at about 7:27 a.m. Sunday.
A judge has ruled that five siblings of a baby girl who died after she was accidentally left in a hot van in Moorhead will temporarily remain in the custody of social services.
