Two people with knowledge of the situation tell The Associated Press that Minnesota Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad needs season-ending surgery on the middle finger on his right hand. The Wolves and Muhammad learned of the need for surgery on Saturday. The people requested anonymity because an official announcement has not been made. Yahoo! Sports first reported the news.
