Minneapolis Police Group Endorses Gov. Dayton

Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton’s re-election campaign got a boost Sunday with an endorsement from a major law enforcement group. The Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis announced the endorsement Sunday afternoon, saying Dayton has fought for money to help keep – and hire – police officers across the state.

Gov. Mark Dayton says the state will not cooperate with Minneapolis police to investigate police misconduct. That’s after the Minneapolis Police Chief Janeé Harteau announced the plan Wednesday, after months of consultation with the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).
