Junior high can be a tough time for a kid. Many young teens struggle with challenges at school, at home, and among friends. Some students in Burnsville are lucky enough, though, to have a teacher who everyday gives them little life lessons to help them through the rough times.
Police are investigating after more than $1,000 worth of damage was reported to the roof of a junior high school in Eagan earlier this month. According to a police report, the incident happened sometime between July 31 and Aug. 7 at John Metcalf Junior High School.
After spending 7,224 days teaching students at John Metcalf Junior High School in Burnsville – that’s 42 years – the district’s longest-serving teacher is calling it a career.
