Jury selection has begun in the trial of a man accused of shooting another man to death at a Burnsville bar. Shavelle Chavez-Nelson, 32, is accused in the death of Palagor Jobi. Jobi, 23, was shot to death in September 2013 during a fight in the parking lot of the bar.
Court officials say a jury has been picked to hear the case of a Little Falls homeowner who claims he was defending himself when he shot and killed two teens who entered his home. Byron Smith is on trial on two counts of premeditated first-degree murder for the 2012 killings of 17-year-old Nick Brady and 18-year-old Haile Kifer.
Nine women and six men have been selected to serve on the jury in the trial of a Wisconsin man accused of killing his three daughters.
