Jim Kowalski Dies After Falling Into Plane Propeller

The Ontario Provincial Police say that Jim Kowalski died Thursday after falling into a rotating plane propeller while on a fishing trip in Canada. The incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. on Thursday in Red Lake, Ontario.

Kowalski’s Co-Owner Tragically Died In Plane Accident

Jim Kowalski died Thursday in a plane accident while fishing in Canada, according to family member Deb Kowalski. Deb Kowalski said Jim suffered a head injury in the incident, and an autopsy is being performed. She said he was with a friend on the trip. Jim Kowalski, 67, founded Kowalski’s Markets back in 1986 in White Bear Lake.
