It has been two years since three-year-old Terrell Mayes Jr. was shot and killed. Mayes was with his brothers inside their home near 26th and Colfax Avenue in north Minneapolis when gunfire erupted. The children were running to a safe place when a bullet pierced the side of the house, killing Terrell. Friday, investigators and Terrell’s mother, Marsha Mayes, are again asking for help in finding the person responsible.
