YouTube Loves La Crosse’s ‘Grandma Drummer’

Mary Hvsida lives near La Crosse, Wis., and as you can tell, she’s been playing drums since she was 15. Every few months, the 63 year old pops into a local drum shop, plays the drums, then leaves. No one really knew who she was, until a video of her playing went viral this week. Since her last band broke up 13 years ago, Mary says she gets the urge to play every now and again.

Woman Located In La Crosse After Going Missing

Authorities in Wisconsin said Friday they’re looking for a 34-year-old woman from Wisconsin Rapids who hasn’t been seen since Tuesday. The family of Jennifer R. Wilson told Wisconsin Rapids Police she was leaving La Crosse, Wis., at about 8 p.m. Tuesday and hasn’t been seen since.

Dr., Brother Killed In Madeline Island Plane Crash

Ashland County authorities say a La Crosse doctor and his brother were killed in a single-engine plane crash on Madeline Island. Sheriff Mick Brennan identifies the victims as the pilot, 63-year-old Dr. Richard Renwick, and his brother, 58-year-old Bruce Renwick from Waunakee. WXOW-TV reports Dr. Renwick was a physician in obstetrics and gynecology at Gundersen Health System.
