Mankato Murder Suspect ‘Mentally Incompetent’ To Stand Trial A veteran has been found mentally incompetent to stand trial for a murder and attempted murder in Mankato last June. According to the Blue Earth County Attorney's office, 25-year-old Levi Spencer Minissale is accused of stabbing 20-year-old Yesenia Gonzalez to death, as well as stabbing a 26-year-old man on the night of June 6, 2013. A court-ordered psychiatrist determined Minissale to be "mentally ill or mentally deficient," and should be civilly committed as a mentally ill and dangerous individual.
