Lewis And Clark Regional Water System
A pipeline that will deliver Missouri River water to towns and rural water systems in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota has picked up more funding from Washington. The Lewis and Clark Regional Water System will receive an extra $6.6 million from Bureau of Reclamation, in addition to the original $2.4 million budgeted for this year.
A water system designed to bring high-quality, purified water to rural parts of three states will get an additional $5.2 million in federal funding. South Dakota Rep. Kristi Noem announced Tuesday that the Lewis and Clark Regional Water System would get additional money from the Bureau of Reclamation.
Officials including members of Congress are pushing the Bureau of Reclamation’s top official to endorse more funding for the Lewis and Clark Regional Water System in South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.
