To look back on the headlines of the past year is to see conflict, war, disease, protest, a startling scientific achievement, and the death of a man who brought joy to countless people. 2014 was also an election year, and it brought change in political power, as well as a more lenient approach to marijuana in some communities.

Good Question: What Is Crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is used for weddings, funerals and medical care, even college tuition. Relatives of passengers on the missing Malaysia Airlines flight 370 are the latest group to turn to crowd-funding to help solve the mystery. They launched a crowd-funding campaign in hopes of raising $5 million as a reward for a whistle-blower for information on the missing plane, and to start their own investigation.

It’s been 10 days since Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared. Since that time, it seems like most everyone has a theory about what happened to the Boeing 777 on its way from Kuala Lampur to Beijing. Many WCCO-TV viewers have sent in their Good Questions on everything from the logistics to how planes work to why people never made phone calls.
