Augustus Scores 25 Points, Lynx Improve To 7-0

Seimone Augustus had 25 points and the Minnesota Lynx remained unbeaten, holding off the San Antonio Stars 87-79 on Sunday. Maya Moore had 18 points, Tan White added 17 and Lindsay Whalen had 11 points and 10 rebounds to help Minnesota (7-0) sweep the home-and-home series with San Antonio (3-4).

Maya Moore had been unstoppable on offense through Minnesota’s first four games. It was her stellar defense that kept the Lynx undefeated. Moore and the Lynx held second-leading scorer Elena Delle Donne to just 16 points to remain perfect with a 75-72 win over the Chicago Sky on Monday in a showdown of undefeated teams.

A collision with a teammate sent Maya Moore to the bench, and even that didn’t slow her down in the end. Moore recovered from cracking heads with Seimone Augustus to score 30 points on a record-setting night and the Minnesota Lynx defeated the New York Liberty 87-82 Saturday.
