The mayor of a southern Wisconsin town received more than just a forecast from Jimmy the Groundhog Monday morning. Sun Prairie Mayor Jonathan Freund was presenting Jimmy during the Groundhogs Day ceremony when Jimmy took the chance to bit the mayor’s ear.

The former mayor of the small Stearns County city of Richmond has been arrested and released. Scott Kron is under investigation for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from the town’s baseball association. Kron resigned his office earlier this summer citing health and personal reasons.

The new mayor of a Minnesota town is just 7-years-old, and he doesn’t say much. Voters in Cormorant, in Northwestern Minnesota, elected a dog named Duke by a landslide. The 12 people in the village each paid $1 to cast a vote.

Rybak: I Had More Heart Damage At Prom

Former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak is taking to the internet to say “thank you,” and share he’s healthier than he has been in years. Rybak suffered a heart attack two weeks ago after cross-country skiing. In his RyBlog, he joked he has no permanent damage, unless you count the shirt they cut off of him.

Former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak Hospitalized After Heart Attack

Former Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak is recovering in the hospital Saturday afternoon after suffering chest pains while cross-country skiing. According to officials at Abbot Northwestern Hospital, Rybak had completed 7.7 miles of skiing at Theodore Wirth Park with his wife before complaining of chest pains and shortness of breath. The former mayor was taken by ambulance to Abbot at 1 p.m., where he underwent an angioplasty and received two stents. Officials say he is currently resting. Rybak was upbeat when he tweeted two and a half hours after being admitted.
