Undercover Video Shows Alleged Mistreatment Of Minn. Pigs

A California-based animal rights group is calling on Walmart, the nation’s largest retailer, to stop buying pork from a Minnesota producer. Mercy For Animals went undercover at a hog farm in Pipestone and recorded gruesome images they say proves their point.

Costco Turns Against Tight Sow Pens

Costco Wholesale Corp. on Tuesday joined a growing list of retailers and restaurants in asking suppliers to phase out the use of small pens for pregnant sows, as an animal welfare group prepared to release an undercover video showing conditions at one of its suppliers.

Target Refuses To Use Eggs From MN Farm

Following McDonald’s lead, Target Corp. has now refused to use eggs from Sparboe Farms, where undercover cameras recorded unsanitary conditions and employees harming the chickens.
