Imagine stringing up 58,000 Christmas lights on your house. Now imagine doing it with Parkinson’s disease. That’s what one local man does every Christmas, and with all the lights comes a powerful message. Mike Justak was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2004, and in 2010 he started doing a full Christmas light display with the help of neighbors.
Finding out that you have Parkinson’s Disease is a life-changing moment.
For every minute of Christmas music you hear outside of Mike Justak’s home, keep in mind that about 8 to 10 hours of sequencing went into that minute just so his front-yard light show can shine.
