A Twin Cities artist has teamed up with a chef and an army of volunteers to do something that’s never been done in Minnesota before. On Sunday, they are setting up an outdoor dinner table for 2,000 people.

Two Charged With Murder In Dumpster Fire Case

Two men face second-degree murder charges for allegedly shooting a 31-year-old Brooklyn Center man earlier this month, stuffing his body into a mattress and lighting it on fire near a dumpster on the city’s south side.

Police: Officer Involved In Shooting Incident In St. Paul

What started as a pursuit of a carjacking suspect turned into an officer-involved shooting in St. Paul Sunday afternoon. The incident left two officers and a teenager injured, and a suspect dead. The incident began with a car crash near Jackson Street and Cook Avenue.

Expect Road Closures For Obama’s Minnehaha Park Visit

President Obama’s visit to a popular Minneapolis park Thursday will cause several road closures and parking restrictions. The Minneapolis Park and Recreations Board says the president will visit Minnehaha Park for an event that’s closed to the public.

Man Charged With Fatally Shooting Girlfriend, Trying To Shoot Her Father

The suspect In the shooting death of a St. Paul woman told authorities that he was hearing voices when he allegedly shot her in the head and then tried to shoot her father Wednesday evening. According to the Ramsey County Attorney’s office, 19-year-old Timothy Scott Hendricks was charged with one count of second-degree murder in the death of his former girlfriend, 20-year-old Michelle Ploetz, and one count of second-degree attempted murder of her father, 45-year-old John Ploetz.

Bicyclists Push For ‘Cycle Track’ On Busy Mpls. Avenue

A group of bicyclists want a protected bike lane on a busy road in Minneapolis. Minnehaha Avenue is set for reconstruction in 2015. Many in the local biking community would like to see a lane that physically separates them from both pedestrians and car traffic – a lane called a “cycle track.” For people who bike along Minnehaha, getting from point A to point B is a challenge. Nicole Nafziger knows firsthand how being so close to traffic can make for a scary experience when riding in the bike lane.

A Brooklyn Park man allegedly stole a car from a St. Paul repair shop that he frequents, crashed and flipped it, then fled the scene early Thursday evening. According to St. Paul Police Sgt. Paul Paulos, 20-year-old Mario Zacate allegedly stole a 1996 Honda Accord from Tires & More auto shop at 847 White Bear Ave N. in St. Paul.
