Details have been released about first lady Michelle Obama’s plans to campaign in Minnesota next week for Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton and Sen. Al Franken. The Minnesota DFL Party announced that Mrs. Obama would appear at a get-out-the-vote rally on Tuesday at Patrick Henry High School in north Minneapolis.
The Minnesota DFL Party has re-elected Ken Martin as chairman. At a conference Saturday in Robbinsdale, Martin was elected to a second two-year term.
Some opponents of the proposed amendment to require Minnesota voters to show a photo ID at the polls are angry at the Minnesota DFL Party. They say the party is not putting enough resources into defeating the amendment.
