As a minority owner, team president and coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Flip Saunders holds as much power in one organization as any person in the NBA. Mo Williams Helps Timberwolves Beat Thunder

Mo Williams scored 19 points in the Minnesota Timberwolves’ 112-94 exhibition victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night. Kevin Martin, Ricky Rubio and Robbie Hummel each added 13 points for Minnesota (2-2). Martin, playing against his former team, made his preseason debut before 16,901 fans at the BOK Center.

Mo Williams Shines As Wolves Beat Sixers, 116-110

Mo Williams had 19 points, seven assists and six rebounds, and Zach LaVine scored 15 points for the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 116-110 preseason victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. First overall pick Andrew Wiggins, who came to Minnesota in the Kevin Love trade, scored 11 points in his home debut. Anthony Bennett had 13 points and eight rebounds.

Timberwolves Sign Mo Williams

The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed veteran guard Mo Williams. The Wolves reached agreement with the free agent from Portland on Monday and made the announcement Wednesday. Williams gets a one-year, $3.75 million contract to serve as the primary backup to point guard Ricky Rubio.

Mo Williams is on his way to Minnesota, which means J.J. Barea could be on his way out. The Timberwolves and Williams have agreed to a $3.75 million, one-year contract, the player’s agency, Priority Sports, announced on Monday.
