The case of the north Minneapolis boy who made his way onto a plane to Las Vegas without a ticket back in October was in court Wednesday. The story made national and international headlines as officials investigated how the boy was able to sneak through security on Oct. 3 at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and onto a plane, without a boarding pass.

Spirit Airlines Adds Service To 4 New Cities From MSP

Minneapolis travelers looking for a cheap trip now have four more cities to choose from through Spirit Airlines. On Thursday, Spirit Airlines announced nonstop seasonal service between Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and Los Angeles (LAX), Orlando (MCO), Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) and Tampa (TPA).

MSP Airport Workers Want Minimum Wage Increase

Low-wage workers at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport are calling for an increase in Minnesota’s minimum wage. The workers say they are forced to rely on government programs to get by. It’s part of a growing debate over whether to raise the state’s minimum wage from $7.25 to $9.50 an hour. The Service Employees Union says 600 low-paid workers at Twin Cities Airport – including wheelchair pushers, cart drivers and aircraft cleaners – earn an average of $7.73 an hour, and receive millions of dollars in state public assistance.
