One person died in an accident on Highway 10 in Anoka County Thursday. According to the State Patrol, the accident occurred in the westbound lane of Highway 10 and Armstrong Boulevard in Ramsey, Minn.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says a Polk County deputy was shot and injured near Crookston Thursday afternoon. Police received a report of a shooting just before 1 p.m. inside a home on the 28000 block of 300th Street Southwest in rural Polk County.
Three people suffered serious injuries in a three-car crash in Washington County Saturday morning. The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened at about 10:15 a.m. at Highway 97 and Healy Avenue near Forest Lake.
A 41-year-old Worthington man is in the hospital after wind caused a semi’s trailer to tip and fall on top of the SUV he was driving on Monday. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2001 Honda CR-V was traveling westbound on Highway 60 west of Brewster during a strong thunderstorm at around 4:17 p.m. A 2014 Freightliner TR was traveling nearby with an empty trailer when a gust of wind blew the trailer onto the SUV.
One person is in the hospital after a shooting on the west side of St. Paul Sunday evening, according to police. Police say the shooting occurred at 8 p.m. on the 900 block of Central Avenue West.
A 57-year-old Litchfield woman had to be rescued from an overturned truck in a water-filled ditch Tuesday evening, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
A women was shot by a stray bullet while sleeping early Sunday morning, according to Minneapolis Police. The incident happen just after 2:30 a.m., when a bullet struck the woman in her arm while she was asleep in an upstairs bedroom in a home on the 700 block of Sheridan Ave. N. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, and refused medical transport.
Four people are injured, including one with serious injuries, after a roll-over crash on Interstate 94 in Minneapolis Saturday morning. The accident happened at about 7 a.m. on westbound I-94 at the Cedar Avenue exit ramp, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The driver, 27-year-old Juan Diaz-Pliego of Minneapolis, tried to exit at Cedar Avenue but lost control, drove up an embankment and rolled over, coming to rest in a ditch under a guardrail.
Minneapolis Police say a juvenile was shot while walking down a north Minneapolis street early Wednesday night. Police spokesman John Elder says the young male was walking on North Lowry and Logan avenues around 6 p.m. when he heard gunshots, and soon realized he had been shot. The juvenile sought help nearby and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Minneapolis Police responded to a shooting on the 700 block of 21st Avenue North early Saturday morning. A man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg just before 3 a.m. Police say the victim was transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. There’s no word on what occurred before the shooting.
A 16 year old is hospitalized after being shot in the abdomen by a 15-year-old friend, according to St. Paul Police. The shooting happened right before 7 p.m. at a home in the 900 block of West Nebraska Avenue. Police say the gun was accidentally discharged. The victim was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital by the mother of the friend who fired the weapon.
A man is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after being shot by St. Paul Police after he tried to flee officers during a traffic stop on Friday evening. According to St. Paul Police, an officer stopped a vehicle just after 5 p.m. near Front Avenue and Marion Street, but the driver fled soon after. The suspect eventually slowed his vehicle and jumped out near the intersection of Front Avenue and Woodbridge Street. Officers at the scene fired their weapons at the suspect, wounding him. No officers were injured.
A Sauk Centre teenager was taken to the hospital after being shot in the back by another teen while duck hunting Sunday afternoon, according to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office.
