Boy, 11, Struck By Car In North Branch Dies

An 11-year-old boy who was struck by a vehicle while walking with his father has died of his injuries, the North Branch Police Department announced. On Aug. 21 at 10:12 p.m., police officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Fill Avenue near 375th Street. When officers arrived, they found the boy unresponsive.

An 11-year-old North Branch boy was taken to the hospital Thursday evening after being struck by a car. North Branch Police say the incident happened just after 8 p.m. on Fill Avenue near the intersection of 375th Street.

State Patrol: 1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Chisago County Rollover

One person was killed and another was hurt in a rollover crash in Chisago County Tuesday night, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities responded to the crash at about 9:25 p.m. on Highway 35 near Stark Road, which is north of North Branch.

‘CCO Viewers Give Adaptive Bike To Girl With Paraplegia

With some help from WCCO viewers, one little girl’s life has been changed for the better. Seven-year-old Olivia Levoir from North Branch received a special hand pedal bike Saturday. She has paraplegia and cannot operate a typical bike. Her mother, Danyelle Levoir, said Olivia’s condition has kept her from being a typical kid during the warmer months.

Missing Forest Lake Teen Found Safe

Within three hours after the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension released a missing endangered person alert for a Forest Lake teen, she announced on her Facebook page that she’s safe and has talked with her parents. According to Chisago County Sheriff’s office, 18-year-old Jade Alexandra Kelm was last seen early Sunday morning at Sunrise Estates Trailer Court in Stacy in the company of her boyfriend, 19-year-old Ryley Thomas Olson of North Branch. On Monday afternoon, Kelm announced “I’m fine and I contacted my parents.”

North Branch Tobacco Shop Raided, Synthetic Pot Seized

A North Branch tobacco shop was raided by authorities Friday, who seized hundreds of grams of illegal synthetic marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash. According to North Branch Police Chief Dan Meyer, police and deputies from the East Central Drug and Violent Crimes Task Forces executed a search warrant of King Tobacco after undercover agents made purchases of illegal synthetic marihuana which were marketed as herbal incense.
