Tight supplies of propane and bitter temperatures across much of the nation are putting the squeeze on a number of rural communities. That’s because rural residents rely on propane fuel to heat their homes and businesses. But a severe shortage of propane is forcing the price of LP to skyrocket.
With some help from WCCO viewers, one little girl’s life has been changed for the better. Seven-year-old Olivia Levoir from North Branch received a special hand pedal bike Saturday. She has paraplegia and cannot operate a typical bike. Her mother, Danyelle Levoir, said Olivia’s condition has kept her from being a typical kid during the warmer months.
Within three hours after the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension released a missing endangered person alert for a Forest Lake teen, she announced on her Facebook page that she’s safe and has talked with her parents. According to Chisago County Sheriff’s office, 18-year-old Jade Alexandra Kelm was last seen early Sunday morning at Sunrise Estates Trailer Court in Stacy in the company of her boyfriend, 19-year-old Ryley Thomas Olson of North Branch.
