6 Eden Prairie Teachers Involved In Pine County Rollover Crash

At least four people were hurt in a rollover crash last Friday involving six people in Pine County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The Eden Prairie School District confirmed Monday that the accident involved high school math teachers heading to a conference in Duluth on Friday.

A 49-year-old man is charged with murder, arson and assault in connection with a deadly March fire in Finlayson. The Pine County Sheriff’s office says Robert Sam Raisch Jr. will face charges for second-degree murder, first-degree arson and first-degree assault.

A male hunter was attacked by a black bear in northern Pine County Saturday afternoon, according to the Pine County Sheriff’s Office. According to police, officers received a 911 call reporting the man had been attacked just northeast of the Village of Duxbury.

Pine Co. Mother And Daughter Charged With Animal Abuse, Neglect

Formal charges have been filed against two Pine County women who are accused of the neglect and abuse of more than 100 animals on a farm near Pine City. According to the Pine County Sheriff’s office, Kathleen Mary Doenz, 65, and her mother, 86-year-old Gloria Irene Carlson, were each charged Friday with five felony counts, five gross misdemeanor counts and four misdemeanor counts related to the abuse and neglect of horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and other animals on their property.

A man is in jail on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide and DUI after a crash in Pine County on Saturday that killed a Maplewood man, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash at about 2:45 p.m. Saturday on Highway 70 at Government Road in Pine County.

Driver Killed In Pine County Crash

One person is dead after a Dodge Ram truck broadsided a Toyota Prius Saturday afternoon in Pine County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at 2:45 p.m. on Highway 70 at Government Road in Rock Creek. Forty-eight-year-old Danny Kitterman of Waite Park allegedly ran a stop sign in his truck while traveling northbound on Government Road. He broadsided the driver of the Prius, who was traveling westbound on Highway 70.
