The Pine County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a dangerous fugitive. Jesse Michael Ericson, who is either 47- or 48-years-old, is wanted for violating a supervised release in connection to a kidnapping conviction.

Pine Co. Minister Faces 59 Counts Of Sex Abuse, Nationwide Warrant Issued

Authorities have issued a nationwide warrant for a 52-year-old man accused of having sex with girls while ministering to a religious group in Northern Pine County. Victor Arden Barnard, originally of Finlayson, Minn., faces 59 felony counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection to the alleged abuse that occurred from 2000 until 2009.

Pine Co. Mother And Daughter Charged With Animal Abuse, Neglect

Formal charges have been filed against two Pine County women who are accused of the neglect and abuse of more than 100 animals on a farm near Pine City. According to the Pine County Sheriff’s office, Kathleen Mary Doenz, 65, and her mother, 86-year-old Gloria Irene Carlson, were each charged Friday with five felony counts, five gross misdemeanor counts and four misdemeanor counts related to the abuse and neglect of horses, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and other animals on their property.

Pine Co. Teen Charged In Burglary That Left Accomplice Dead

A Pine County teenager is now charged in a home invasion that left a man dead. It happened after the intruders entered the house of a 75-year-old man around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Officials said 23-year-old Gypsy Watts had a gun, and the homeowner shot and killed him. Investigators tell us Watts and a 16-year-old boy broke into the man’s house, hoping to steal his prescription medications.

Pine Co. Day Care Provider Pleads Guilty To Child Neglect

A Pine County day care provider has pleaded guilty to child neglect after a 22-month-old girl in her care walked away and onto a nearby highway. The little girl wasn’t hurt, but the day care provider told police she had been drinking vodka and taking cough syrup that day, court documents say.

More Than 130 Animals Seized After Living In ‘Deplorable Conditions’

One week after 135 horses, dogs, chickens and ducks were taken from a rural Pine county farm, the animals are showing signs of improvement. Chocolate labs and golden retrievers that appeared underweight and hungry are eating bowls of food and putting on pounds.
