Gov. Mark Dayton raised $217,000 for his re-election campaign in the three months leading up to July 1. Dayton’s campaign released the figures Friday. Dayton is not required to release quarterly finance reports but has voluntarily done so as an advocate of greater transparency in political fundraising. Dayton has raised a total of $249,000 so far in 2013 of which his campaign has spent about $115,000. The campaign says he raised most of it following the end of the 2013 legislative session and his mid-June trade mission to Europe.
