A 55-year-old Little Falls man died in a pond crash in Aitkin County Saturday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The state patrol says a man was traveling in a 1999 Dodge Durango westbound on Highway 18 near Highway 169 when he ran off the road, crashed and rolled into a pond upside down.

A 58-year-old man has died after his minivan went off the road and into a pond in Eagan Friday morning. According to police, a witness saw a minivan leave the roadway at Lexington Avenue and Clubview Drive at 7:33 a.m. The minivan, driven by Thomas Heinz Iwen of St. Paul, went down a 10-foot retaining wall and crashed upside down into a collection pond. Iwen was extricated from his vehicle by Eagan firefighters. He was taken by ambulance to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he later died.
A group of people looking for a friend in North Minneapolis Wednesday found a man’s body in a pond, police say.
