61-Year-Old Man Dies After Princeton Fire

A 61-year-old man is dead after a rural Princeton fire Wednesday afternoon, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner. The medical examiner says Stanley Orton, of Princeton, suffered from thermal injuries at the fire located on 5167 160th Ave.

Officials ID Central Minn. Woman Killed In ATV Crash

Officials have identified the Princeton, Minn., woman who died Monday when the ATV she was driving flipped on top of her. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 36-year-old Nerchel Abella Nahuman, who is originally from the Philippines.

Fundraiser Helps Outfit K-9 Officers With Bulletproof Vests

Some of the state’s finest officers with four legs showed off their skills as a part of a fundraiser Saturday in St. Paul. The group “Vested Interest in K-9s” raises money to provide K-9 officers bullet- and stab-protective vests. Krischel Estrella of Vested Interest says vests can cost nearly $3,000 each, so fundraisers make a big difference for local departments.
