The Red River in Fargo is beginning to recede. The river peaked early Wednesday at an unofficial mark of 33.32 feet, which is more than 15 feet above flood stage.
A new prediction from the U-S Geological Survey says the Red River in the Fargo-Moorhead area isn’t expected to crest until after April 15.
It appears the Mississippi River reached its crest Wednesday in St. Paul. However, according to the National Weather Service, there’s more to come.
The Mississippi River at St. Paul is predicted to crest at 19.2 feet on Wednesday, but city officials say they are prepared.
