Esera Tuaolo spent eight seasons in the NFL on the defensive line, including a four-year stint with the Minnesota Vikings. He also participated in a Super Bowl with the Atlanta Falcons in 1999, but now he’s taking on a whole new adventure with a singing career.
In his first season, University of Minnesota basketball coach Richard Pitino found out right away you can make a lot of friends in the Twin Cities by winning. Pitino put together a roster in his first season of many unknown players and finished with a school-record 25 wins as Minnesota went onto win the NIT after just missing the NCAA Tournament.
WCCO-TV’s Mark Rosen sat down with head coach Mike Zimmer Sunday night to get his thoughts on the first few days of training camp, his first as a head coach. Rosen also sat down with Brian Murphy, the Vikings beat writer for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, to get his thoughts on the team and the season ahead.
Jared Allen made a name for himself in Minnesota by sacking quarterbacks and having a constant motor playing defensive end for the Vikings. Now, he’s starting a new path with a familiar rival in the Chicago Bears. But Allen’s passion for his project “Wounded Warriors” brought him back to Minneapolis last week.
