A former teacher at a boarding school in southern Minnesota has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for sexually abusing six male students more than a decade ago. Lynn Seibel pleaded guilty to seven counts in July, more than a year after police began investigating alleged sexual contact with students at Shattuck-St. Mary’s school.
The former Shattuck-St. Mary’s teacher charged with seven counts of sexually abusing six students changed his plea to guilty on Friday, according to the Rice County Attorney. Lynn Seibel, 71, taught at the Faribault boarding school and was accused of sexually assaulting six males students from 1999 to 2003. He’ll now be sentenced on Oct. 4.
