Arrest Made In Fatal Shooting Of Foley Man

Authorities said an arrest has been made in the case of a Foley man who was found shot to death near a St. Cloud auto dealership in March. Officers with the Benton County Sheriff’s Department found the body of 31-year-old Jamie Wylie March 25 on the side of County Road 75 in St. Cloud.

Court: State Office Project Foe Must Cover Losses

A former lawmaker suing to stop a new Senate office building must come up with an $11 million bond if he wants to press his case forward in the Court of Appeals. A three-judge panel ruled Tuesday that the bond would protect the state from losses resulting from delays due to the litigation by former Rep. Jim Knoblach of St. Cloud. The state had asked for a higher bond while Knoblach’s attorney has said it could deter him from pressing the case.

St. Cloud Hunter Banned From Big Game Hunting For 5 Years

A Minnesota man who violated a federal hunting law has been banned from hunting big game anywhere in the U.S. for five years. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says 41-year-old William Robert Welsh of St. Cloud was sentenced in federal court Tuesday.

Reward Increased For Info On Foley Man’s Killer

Authorities have increased the reward for information leading to the suspect who fatally shot a Foley man in Benton County. On March 25, the body of Jamie Wylie, 31, was found on the side of County Road 75 by the Luther Honda dealership in St. Cloud, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s office.

Authorities said a man suspected of at least two robberies in the St. Cloud area was arrested Wednesday afternoon. Waite Park Police and local FBI agents executed a search warrant at about 2:30 p.m. at a residence on the 1400 block of Westwind Road in St. Cloud.

Police Seek 2 Suspects In St. Cloud Motel Armed Robbery

St. Cloud Police are investigating after two men robbed a St. Cloud Super 8 Motel early Tuesday morning. Police say the two men entered the motel at around 6:48 a.m., one of them armed with a handgun, demanded money and then left without further incident.
