After 16 hours on the run — in at least four stolen vehicles — a Wisconsin boy is now behind bars.
Family and friends are mourning the death of a man killed while walking along a rural Wisconsin highway. It happened on County Highway C in the town of Star Prairie. Jeffrey Boardman, 28, was walking home with a friend from J.J.’s Bar in Hammond.
Typically, Home for Life doesn’t deal in pet adoption. It’s a place dogs spend their days when they can’t be adopted because of age or medical issues. But a special case showed up to their front gate back in November, and no one could turn their backs on a dog that needed help.
Reward money has now been tripled for information leading to the arrest of those involved in illegally killing a black bear. The bear was shot while hibernating in a culvert near Star Prairie, Wis., in February.
