Handcuffed Teen Escapes Custody Before St. Cloud Court Appearance

A 14-year-old juvenile offender is on the loose and handcuffed after escaping before a hearing at the Stearns County Courthouse Wednesday morning. St. Cloud police say the teen fled northbound on foot from the intersection of 7th Avenue North and 2nd Street North just before 10 a.m.

Two young men are safe after their truck went through the ice on a Stearns County lake early Saturday morning. The Stearns County Sheriff’s office says Paynesville residents Zachary Imholte, 21, and Tanner Harder, 21, were able to escape from a truck when it broke through Lake Koronis off of Point Crestland Drive in Paynesville.

Two adults were treated for smoke inhalation after a mobile home caught fire in Stearns Co. Thursday night. Man Indicted For First-Degree Murder In Baby’s Death

A 32-year-old Albany, Minn. man has been indicted on murder charges in connection with the Sept. 3 death of his infant son. Robert John Kaiser was indicted by a Stearns County grand jury Friday for first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder in the death of a 2-month-old boy.
