1-On-1 Interview With New ‘U’ Athletic Director Beth Goetz

There are still many unanswered questions about the Gophers athletic department under Norwood Teague. Most pressing: Whether anyone else knew about Teague’s behavior towards women, and should have done something about it. The University announced an independent investigation Tuesday that will look into that, among other things.

Klobuchar Trying To Protect Young Minds From False Advertising

U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) is pushing legislation to protect young athletes from concussions. The legislation would crack down on false advertising and misleading claims that certain protective gear can prevent concussions.

Good Question: Can Kids Play Three Sports Anymore?

Caroline Schelquist, a junior at Minnetonka High School, plays basketball and volleyball. “In my off-season, I play on an A.A.U. basketball team and on a J.O. volleyball,” Schelquist said. Minnetonka senior Josh Dalki plays football and baseball. He stopped basketball after the 8th grade. “I either play winter baseball or we obviously train a lot for football,” Dalki said.
