Charges: Duo Steals Nearly $40K Worth Of High-End Eyeglass Frames

Police said two people were caught with nearly $40,000 worth of stolen high-end eyeglass frames earlier this month, after allegedly stealing from multiple Twin Cities businesses. Beverly Sanchez Jara, 38, with an unknown address, and 27-year-old Hector Astudillo, of an unknown address, were each charged with one count of theft (more than $5,000), and one count of aiding and abetting receiving stolen property (more than $5,000).

Police: 50 Brass Vases Stolen From Mahtomedi Cemetery

About 50 brass flower vases were stolen from Mahtomedi grave sites over the weekend and authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating them, and in identifying the suspects involved. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mahtomedi reported that the 50-some 10-inch tall and 4-inch wide vases are each valued at $200. They went missing on Saturday and Sunday.
