Twins Activate Plouffe, Nunez From Disabled List The Minnesota Twins reinstated third baseman Trevor Plouffe and utilityman Eduardo Nunez from the disabled list Monday, putting both of them right back in the lineup for the series opener against Kansas City. Plouffe and Nunez each missed 14 games after their injuries June 14 at Detroit. Plouffe hurt his rib cage, and Nunez, who played in four games on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Rochester, strained his right hamstring. Manager Ron Gardenhire had Plouffe batting sixth and Nunez hitting eighth as the shortstop against the Royals at Target Field.
