A 38-year-old man is charged with criminal damage to property after police say he flushed several pounds of nails down a number of toilets at various businesses, causing thousands of dollars in damage.

Charges: Man Stole Pipes From Several Twin Cities Businesses

A 32-year-old man is accused of stealing metal pipes from at least six Twin Cities businesses that were valued at more than $1,700, according to charges filed Tuesday in Dakota County Court. Mikael Jerald Carlson was charged with one count of aggregating theft in connection with the incidents, which happened in late June and early July.
