The St. Thomas football team spent most of its season ranked No. 3 in the nation, but the Tommies found out Saturday just how much better they have to get to go to the top of Division III.
A 10-0 regular season and a MIAC championship was a great accomplishment for the St. Thomas football team, but it’s just one step in the journey for Glenn Caruso’s squad this season.
It was unfamiliar territory for both St. Thomas and St. John’s at O’Shaughnessy Stadium in St. Paul on Saturday.
The Tommies got six touchdowns from their running game, including four from senior Colin Tobin, in a 45-22 win at UW-River Falls on Saturday. Tobin finished with 122 yards in the game.
It’s a new season, but the goals are as high as ever for the University of St. Thomas football team. The Tommies enter the 2011 regular season coming off a 12-1 campaign in 2010.
