The St. Thomas football team left the field a happy bunch Saturday after a dominating 48-17 victory over St. Norbert in the NCAA Division III Playoffs.
One can’t blame the St. Thomas football team if it enjoyed its post game celebration a little more than usual on Saturday. After all, it’s always more fun to beat your rival in their home stadium.

The No. 8-ranked St. Thomas football team didn’t have much to celebrate on Saturday until the last six minutes of its season-opening game at UW-Eau Claire.
The winning tradition has been established, now it’s up to a newer crop of talent to keep it going. That’s the challenge that lies ahead for the St. Thomas football team this fall.
When Glenn Caruso took over as St. Thomas football coach four years ago, he expected to have success. Every coach does, but I think even he is surprised at what his program has accomplished since he took the reins.
