The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis says it’s prepared to release names of 30 priests accused of sexually abusing minors if it gets a court order. An early Saturday morning drive-by shooting in St. Paul left one dead and 2 people injured, police said. The shooting took place at 1 a.m. at the Moonshine Saloon along East Seventh Street.
Police say a group of three to five black males have been targeting those walking alone – day or night – in downtown Minneapolis, and robbing them of their wallets, purses and or cell phones. Minneapolis police said four muggings have taken place between Aug. 12 and Aug. 19. The suspects are in their late teens, or early 20s. They target lone individuals and some victims have been pushed or punched.
A 47-year-old St. Paul man was charged Friday in Washington County in connection with a Lake Elmo crash that severely injured two young women. Washington County Attorney Pete Orput said Jon Ross Wentz faces eight felonies of criminal vehicular operation causing great bodily harm involving negligence, blood alcohol and controlled substances in his system.
Minneapolis police are searching for a suspect after three people including a toddler were shot and seriously injured on the city’s north side. Police spokeswoman Cyndi Barrington said all three victims are expected to survive, but police can’t say for sure if the people who live in the area are in danger or not.

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department says they are investigating after a shooting incident left two dead and two injured Tuesday morning in north Shoreview, Minn. Reports say the incident happened near County Road J in a private home in that neighborhood.
