WCCO-TV’s Internship Program is designed to provide experience for students pursuing careers in television broadcasting. Interns have the opportunity to shadow our staff to learn more about the TV business including broadcast news & sports, communications/PR, graphic design and video production, editing and promotion.
Aggressively manage and publish updated news stories, video and slideshows, concentrating on developing stories and breaking news.
The purpose of the Program is to develop strong newsroom leadership skills for those interested in behind the scenes editorial opportunities, as well as to attract a diverse pool of talented individuals who will contribute to our story selection and execution.
Facilitates the coverage of news stories and the assignment of field crews on a daily basis.
Edit newscast elements for weekday or weekend morning shows.
CBS Radio Minneapolis’s WCCO-AM, is searching for an experienced Broadcast Journalist. Primary duties and responsibilities include: conceptualizing, editing and producing stories for on-air, online & digital media platforms; reporting in the field and anchoring; developing and maintaining local contacts.
Maintain and ensure the availability of the computer network, servers, workstations and associated equipment.
Sell television time, online and new media for WCCO-TV and WCCO.com. Generate revenue with new accounts by prospecting local businesses in the Minneapolis/St. Paul DMA.
Manage the sales process related to the new and incremental business opportunities for WCCO and establish strategic partnerships with traditional and non-traditional advertisers.
Master control operator is responsible for maintaining WCCO’s on-air programming, and will be expected to monitor transmitters, maintain logs, ingest and file transfer shows and commercials.
