Willmar Man, Accused Of Posing As Vet, Arrested For Guns

A 54-year-old Willmar man, accused of posing as an Army Ranger veteran, is in the Kandiyohi County Jail for felony possession of a firearm. Willmar Police say Richard Arthur Rahn was arrested Tuesday night after officers served a search warrant at his home on 2nd Street Southwest.

2 More E. Coli Cases Confirmed In Minnesota

The Minnesota Department of Health says two more cases of E. coli infection have been confirmed in the state. The department said Thursday it has been able to interview 14 of the 15 cases. Through the interviews, investigators confirmed that 12 of the ill people ate at an Applebee’s restaurant in Minnesota between June 23 and June 29.

Man Sentenced To Life In Brutal Stabbing Death Of Grandmother

An 18-year-old Willmar man has been sentenced for his involvement in the murder and robbery plot of his grandmother. On Wednesday morning, Robert Inocencio Warwick pleaded guilty to first-degree murder while committing a felony and was sentenced to life in prison. Another charge, first-degree premeditated murder, was dismissed.

Storms Soak Southern Minnesota

Southern Minnesota got hit the hardest Monday by severe thunderstorms as rains fell across the majority of the state. Teen Gets Life In Prison For Killing Friend’s Grandmother

The Willmar teenager who pleaded guilty to killing his friend’s grandmother has been sentenced to life in prison without parole. Brok Junkermeier, 19, admitted to choking and then stabbing Lila Warwick at her home on July 29, 2013. He had hatched a plan with her grandson to steal her money. He described his actions in court last week. He said after he forced her to write a check to him, he strangled her for 20 minutes. After that, he got a dagger and started stabbing her because, as he confessed, “I didn’t think she was dead.”
