A 54-year-old Willmar man, accused of posing as an Army Ranger veteran, is in the Kandiyohi County Jail for felony possession of a firearm. Willmar Police say Richard Arthur Rahn was arrested Tuesday night after officers served a search warrant at his home on 2nd Street Southwest.

The Minnesota Department of Health says two more cases of E. coli infection have been confirmed in the state. The department said Thursday it has been able to interview 14 of the 15 cases. He described his actions in court last week. He said after he forced her to write a check to him, he strangled her for 20 minutes. After that, he got a dagger and started stabbing her because, as he confessed, “I didn’t think she was dead.”
