Police in southwestern Minnesota were involved in a pursuit of two suspects in an assault case that ended just before the South Dakota border. According to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, Devin Donald Hexum, 21, and Derek Michael Hexum, 19, were being pursued by police for over 45 minutes.
Police said a FedEx delivery truck and BNSF freight train collided Friday afternoon in Yellow Medicine County. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s office responded to a 911 call that a FedEx delivery truck and BNSF train crashed around 2 p.m. Friday at the rail crossing with Yellow Medicine County Road 39.
A man thought to have been missing in western Minnesota was found dead Monday in a grain bin, according to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities were called at about 4:40 p.m. to the 3100 block of 480th Street in Yellow Medicine County on a report of a missing person.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety said Wednesday they’ve located the 1996 GMC Sierra pick-up truck that they believe belongs to Andrew Joseph Dikken, a person of interest in the case. Authorities said the truck was found in a remote location about five miles north of Belview, Minn.
A farm-duty ATV flipped over in Yellow Medicine County Saturday, sending three of its passengers to the hospital, authorities said.
