“With all of the fabulous restaurants in St. Paul and the recent addition of the Green Line, there’s never been a better time to make a night at the Ordway a special event,” Ordway’s President & CEO, Patricia A. Mitchell said. “We’re very excited about the wide variety of performances coming to the Ordway stage this fall.” You can find a reason for a great night out at the Ordway, whether it is girls’ night out, date night or family night.

For girls’ night out, try the October touring production of “Nice Work If You Can Get It,” a 1920s-era Broadway-style musical filled with Gershwin classics. Ask your date to Ordway’s kick-off of its popular World Music & Dance Series with hip-swinging Cubano rhythms. Then kick up your heals on Ordway’s special dance floor. Bring the family to “A Christmas Story: The Musical.” This musical version of the beloved movie is filled with nostalgia and is perfect for every age.

Another important thing to note is that the Ordway has its own concierge service, available for no cost to subscribers. Ordway’s concierge can have flowers or chocolates waiting on your seats for date night, can help with hard-to-get reservations or can even have a bottle of wine chilling at your favorite spot for after the show. Call the concierge line at (651) 282-3114 to make arrangements.

After the show, take a walk through beautiful Rice Park, and then have a nightcap at The St. Paul Grill. Spend the evening at the newly expanded historic Saint Paul Hotel.

Beat the crowds and have an early dinner at Cossetta. This family-friendly restaurant is a St. Paul favorite, known for its reasonable process and delicious Italian food. Next, go see the Ordway’s holiday classic, “A Christmas Story: The Musical.” Based on the popular movie, this holiday production is filled with nostalgia and is perfect for the entire family. If you can make it to the December 4 performance, the Ordway will host Kids Night on Broadway, with free pre-show activities for kids at 6:30 p.m. Be sure to spend some time exploring the Ordway’s lobby, which is extravagantly decorated top to bottom by Bachman’s. There are lots of fun photo ops.
