Easter happens at the James J. Hill House, where children ages 2 through 7 can go for an outdoor egg hunt on the lawn. The celebration features prizes, snacks and lots of stories about the Gilded Age home. Perhaps a real stray rabbit will appear to grace the festivity. (A rabbit actually dashed across the lawn in 1898, when the house hosted its first Easter egg hunt.) Reservations are recommended. Participants must bring a basket for the egg collection. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

There's nothing like a good road race to stimulate your circulation before an Easter egg hunt, or stimulate an appetite for a hearty Easter brunch. The race is on a 5k certified USATF paved pedestrian course. This is a great opportunity for some recreational exercise with the family. Be sure to invite your friends and neighbors, too.
