Teen Sentenced To Probation In Crash That Killed 3

WINONA, Minn. (WCCO) -- A 17-year-old man was sentenced on Thursday for his role in a drag-racing crash that killed three girls in April 2010.

Adam Paul Greden pleaded guilty to careless driving in Winona County Court and was sentenced to probation until he is 21 years old.

Shauna Ruhoff, Morgan Zeller and Katie Hornberg died in the April 23, 2010 accident when their pickup lost control and rolled in a ditch. The girls were not wearing their seat belt. Twelve-year-old Cydney Maker was also in their vehicle during the crash and suffered serious injuries.

Prosecutors said Greden was racing with Ruhoff at the time of the crash.

Greden had been charged with criminal vehicular homicide and criminal vehicular operation but pleaded to careless driving as part of a plea agreement.
