BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (WCCO) — A student in California decided to finish college before he’d even wrapped up his high school diploma.

Fourteen-year-old Spencer Lafavor of Bakersfield, Calif. got his associates degree from Taft College. He took online classes after getting bored with his high school class-work.

Spencer picked up his degree in social sciences last week and he will pick up his high school diploma next week.

He will enter California State University-Bakersfield as a junior, because he already has 100 credits towards his bachelor’s degree.
